Tell us about your career in the travel industry?
Certainly! My career in the travel industry has been a journey marked by diverse experiences in various facets. Starting with roles in front office and service, I gained valuable insights into the operational aspects of hospitality. My exposure to finance provided a comprehensive understanding of the business side of the industry.
A significant chapter of my career unfolded during my tenure as a sales and marketing leader at Marriott International. Over the years, I had the privilege of contributing to Marriott’s success in countries such as Austria, Germany, Russia, and the Czech Republic. This period allowed me to refine my skills in promoting and positioning hotels in competitive markets.
In 2013, I embraced a new challenge by transitioning to a General Manager role with private hotel group. This marked a shift from corporate to private management, providing me with a different perspective on hotel operations. My responsibilities covered both city and resort hotel groups in countries like Russia and Austria, broadening my understanding of diverse market segments.
In 2018, I took on my first General Manager role in the Maldives. This experience was particularly significant, as it allowed me to immerse myself in the unique challenges and opportunities presented by managing a resort in such a picturesque destination.
Since January 2023, I am now back in Maldives at Dhigali Resort, such a prestigious resort is not just a professional accomplishment but a personal joy.
