Maldives – Paradise on Earth, the most romantic and relaxing place in the world. This is one of the places on Earth where your breath stops. What attracts tourists to the Maldives are sunny beaches, crystal lagoons with colorful corals, azure sea with exotic marine life.
Warm, crystal clear and transparent waters. Coral reefs and a variety of marine life. Secluded houses. Memorable sunrises and sunsets, the work of the greatest artist – nature. Wonderful visibility underwater, sometimes over 50 meters. Water temperature 27-28 C throughout the year. All this makes the place extraordinarily attractive for lovers of beauty, romance, the sea, diving and snorkeling.
The Maldives is one of the safest travel destinations. The islands are a place of tranquility, here the silence is broken only by the gentle sound of the waves. In the Maldives during the day you can watch the fantastic underwater life, go fishing or just doze off in a hammock under the shade of palm trees leaning over the water. In the evening you will be amazed by the stunning beauty of the sunset.

MR. GAVIN SANDERS – GENERAL MANAGER
Mr. Sanders, congratulations on the prestigious Best Luxury Resort in the Maldives award! Is it easy to build and manage such a large resort?
The challenge in the resort is continuous changes related to the traveling restrictions in various countries, government regulations such as quarantine and employment policies. We need to dynamically adapt to these changes.
I love challenges and enjoy creatively solving problems. I build relationships quickly and am tenacious in achieving goals. I am optimistic that we are moving towards a new normal which allow borders reopening and for people to travel safely.
What are the advantages you offer to the guests of Radisson Blue Maldives over the other resorts in the Maldives?
In terms of tangible aspects, most frequently mentioned is the spacious size of the villa – from 215sqm, which may be the size of suites in other resorts. Every single villa, whether on the beach or overwater has a generously sized swimming pool. We have diverse culinary offerings with three restaurants, three bars, and experiential wine cellar dining.
The location of the resort also makes this resort a destination within a destination. South Ari atoll is a Marine Protected Area and famous for its biodiversity with year-round sighting of whale shark and dolphins, and seasonal sighting of manta ray.
Last but not least, I sincerely believe that we have an amazing team. The personalized service from our hands and hearts is what sets us apart from other resorts.
What are your plans for the complex next year?
This year we are launching our resort concierge app and all inclusive meal package to elevate guest experience. Next year, we have exciting plans to revamp the island landscape, including our water activities area and spa area enhancement
Another significant plan is to implement more sustainable practices. Ecotourism has become a part of the lifestyle and we have started by minimizing non-degradable products including plastics and environmentally harmful chemicals. We will further implement new processes such as using advance technology for our waste management and working together with our partners so that they, too, are compliant, for example encouraging them to limit the use of non-degradable packaging for products sent to us.
